Bible Verse: My comfort during my suffering is this: your word gives me new life. Psalm 119:50

Reflection:

I like this verse because it reminds me of all the times God has been there for me in my hard times, even when I didn’t want anything to do with Him and was ignoring Him. The verse right before this one says, “Remember the word to Your servant, for You have given me hope,”and it’s important to mention because the “this” being referred to is God’s Word/promises.

His Word and the promises given to us are our hope in our darkest moments and they anchor us (Hebrews 6:19) so we’re not tossed around while the waves crash over us (Psalm 42:7). We all have moments where we feel hopeless, lost, and drowning in either our problems or sorrow, but knowing and remembering God’s Word and promises can be a lifeline through them because hope does not disappoint (Romans 5:5).

It also makes me think of two songs. The first is the hymn
">Stand By Me and the second is called
">Psalm 42 by The Sing Team. Give them a listen if you feel like it :)
