Danielle Akers
Hi, I’m Danielle, and I serve as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator. I previously worked as a middle school teacher for the past ten years, and I have been blessed to volunteer with Citrus Seedlings for the past two years leading up to taking this position. I am originally from Indianapolis and attended Ball State University (chirp chirp!) with a double major in Theatre Education and English Education. I am passionate about working with kids, and my goal is to provide a safe, nurturing space for them to express themselves, learn about God’s love, and have fun.
I am married to my creative and talented husband Andrew, and we have two kitties who I absolutely adore. In my free time you can find me playing with my cats, reading a book for my book club, singing Broadway showtunes, or passionately discussing the latest episode of whatever show I’m currently streaming.
