Bible Verse: Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” 9 Immediately the man was well, and he picked up his mat and walked. Now that day was the Sabbath. John 5:8-9
Reflection:
I really invite you to reflect and ponder on this verse. When asked, the man did not know who had healed him.
Can you just imagine this experience for yourself? Whether you are in need of physical, emotional or spiritual healing, our loving and gracious God is just waiting to encounter You as Jesus did with this man.
For me, Lent IS a time of healing…of shedding our broken ways…of cleansing our souls…and rejoicing in God’s commandment and blessings as He helps us
“get up” and walk again!
Pray with me: Heavenly Father, thank you for the many times I have encountered You and You have blessed me through your healing and forgiveness. Help me remember to continually put you first in my life. Help me to worship you fully and cherish each “get up” and walk encounter with You. Amen and Amen
