Bible Verse: The thief enters only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came so that they could have life—indeed, so that they could live life to the fullest. John 10:10
Reflection: I reflect on this verse as I sit at the car shop getting an oil change. As much as I like to be home, I look forward to being somewhere with few distractions. My task, at the moment, is to wait for my car, I can’t do laundry or make dinner or surf the Internet (I guess I could get to the Internet but am trying not to).
I have been feeling the distractions of this world are like the thief in this verse. Internet, social media and just the busyness of life steal our time, attention, and energy. Taking time to be still and seek out how we are to live our lives to the fullest. For me living life to the fullest does not mean seeing how busy I can be but seeking out those activities that give me purpose. How do you live your life to the fullest?
